Dental Veneers in Tunisia
E-Max, No-Prep, Composite — choose your solution
The 3 types of dental veneers available in Tunisia
Not all veneers are equal. Depending on your clinical case, your budget and the desired lifespan, three solutions are offered in Tunisia. Here is how they differ — and which one matches your situation.

Who are dental veneers suitable for?
The placement of dental veneers (E-Max, No-Prep or composite) is suitable for the majority of aesthetic cases. But certain clinical situations require a prior assessment, or even another solution such as a crown or orthodontics. Here is how to find your way before the consultation.
• Significant discolorations not responding to whitening (tetracyclines, fluorosis, devitalizations)
• Shape anomalies : small, irregular teeth damaged by erosion
• Interdental gaps (diastemas) to close without orthodontics
• Slight misalignments (moderate crowding) to correct aesthetically
• Damaged enamel by erosion or superficial fractures
• Patient in good oral health (treated cavities, stable periodontium)
• Mild to moderate bruxism : veneers possible with a night guard
• Small cavities : to be treated before veneer placement
• Gingival recessions mild: adapted approach
• Multiple reconstructions (existing crowns): veneer + crown combination possible
• Anxious patient : reassuring protocol + prior digital simulation
• Severe bruxism not managed: risk of veneer fracture
• Active cavities ou untreated periodontitis : prior treatment is a priority
• Very major misalignments : prior orthodontics more relevant
• Severely decayed teeth : zirconia crowns more suitable (see zirconia crowns)
• Insufficient enamel volume : reduction impossible
• Unrealistic expectations : veneers improve aesthetics, they do not create a "perfect" smile in the absolute sense

How many dental veneers for your case?
The number of veneers depends on the area visible when you smile and the aesthetic result you want. Here are the most common configurations.
| Configuration | Area covered | Indication | Indicative price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 veneers | Upper incisors (1+ and 2+) | Correction of an isolated central defect (gap, discoloration, fracture) | from €840 |
| 6 veneers | Upper incisors + canines | Targeted smile without total transformation, controlled budget | from €1,260 |
| 8 veneers | Incisors + canines + 1st upper premolar | Wider smile visible during a normal smile | from €1,680 |
| 10 veneers | Canine to canine + 2 premolars | The most common configuration, cost/result balance | from €2,100 |
| 12 veneers | Upper premolar to premolar | "Wider" smile covering the premolars | from €2,520 |
| 16-18 veneers | Full upper smile (8) + 8-10 visible lower | Hollywood Smile — complete transformation | from €3,360 |
| 20-28 veneers | Full smile (upper + lower) | Total aesthetic rehabilitation (exceptional cases) | on quote |
The indicative prices are based on the E-Max veneer at €210/tooth. The price varies according to the material chosen (No-Prep from €230, composite from €80) and is specified in the personalized quote.

E-Max Press vs E-Max CAD: Ivoclar materials in detail
Beyond the type of veneer, quality depends on the material used. In Tunisia, high-end veneers use Ivoclar Vivadent ceramics (Switzerland), produced with two distinct techniques — each with its own advantages.
Ceramic heat-pressed using the lost-wax process. Superior translucency, optimal aesthetics for anterior veneers with high visual stakes. Strength 400-500 MPa.
Ceramic CAD/CAM-milled from prefabricated Ivoclar blocks. Faster process (24h lab), ideal for posterior crowns. Equivalent strength, slightly lower aesthetics than Press.
For crowns (not veneers) on severely damaged teeth or implants, Lava Plus zirconia at 1,200 MPa offers maximum strength. Learn more →
5-year dental veneer warranty: conditions and coverage
All veneers placed (E-Max and No-Prep) come with a written 5-year contractual warranty, signed on the day of placement. Here is exactly what is covered and the coverage conditions.
• Spontaneous debonding of the veneer without identifiable external cause
• Spontaneous fracture of the ceramic under normal use conditions
• Manufacturing defect or of Ivoclar material (very rare)
• Aesthetic defect appearing without external cause (abnormal shade change)
• Complete replacement of the defective veneer: materials + laboratory and practitioner labor
• Moderate stay costs covered on a validated case (airport transfers, consultation, placement)
• Traumatic impact (fall, accident, contact sport without a guard)
• Untreated bruxism after the practitioner's explicit recommendation
• Proven hygiene negligence (advanced untreated periodontitis)
• Modifications by another practitioner without consultation
• Non-compliance with the care instructions provided at placement
• Cavities on a supporting tooth linked to a hygiene defect
• Multiple fractures on teeth independent of one another

The 5-year warranty contract is signed in duplicate on the day of final placement. You leave with your printed copy + a PDF version by email. No grey areas.
Risks, precautions and long-term care of veneers
No dental procedure is without risk, and transparency about these aspects is part of our clinical commitment. Here is what you should know before and after the placement of veneers (E-Max or No-Prep).
• Transient tooth sensitivity (3 to 5 days, managed with standard painkillers)
• Veneer fracture (rare, < 2% over 5 years with normal care)
• Debonding (very rare with modern bonding, < 1%)
• Mild gingival inflammation the first few days (spontaneous resolution)
• Adaptation to the new morphology of the smile (1 to 2 weeks for phonetics)
• Irreversible reduction of the enamel (0.3-0.7 mm) — contractual decision to validate beforehand
• Avoid biting into very hard foods (ice, pits, very hard crusts)
• Avoid opening packaging or cutting thread with your teeth
• Protective guard at night if bruxism is suspected or diagnosed
• Sports guard for contact sports (boxing, rugby, martial arts)
• Limit tobacco (progressive yellowing of the veneer-tooth junction)
• Moderate coffee, tea, red wine (surface stains to be polished periodically)
• Brushing twice a day with a soft brush (soft hardness)
• Fluoride toothpaste without harsh abrasives (avoid "ultra-whitening" toothpastes that scratch the enamel)
• Floss or interdental brushes every evening — passing between each veneer
• Mouthwash alcohol-free 2 to 3 times a week (alcohol = micro-cracks in the long term)
• Scaling annually at your local dentist (use gentle ultrasound, no hard bicarbonate)
• Annual check-up recommended to check the integrity of the bonding and gingival margins
Annual check-ups can be carried out by your local dentist. We provide your dentist with a detailed treatment report (materials used, bonding protocol, recommendations) to make follow-up easier.
